Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Airport – Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage – Kandy
Upon arrival, our representative will welcome you at the airport and guide you to the arranged transportation for your transfer to the hotel. After check-in, enjoy the day at leisure. Optionally, visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, about 55 miles from Colombo, where over 65 elephants, including babies, are cared for. The best times to visit are during feeding (09:15-09:45, 14:15-14:45) and bathing (10:00-11:00, 15:00-16:00). Overnight in Kandy.
Day 2: Kandy – City Tour
After breakfast, embark on a city tour of Kandy, exploring its highlights like the Temple of the Tooth Relic, showcasing Buddhism's enduring influence. Optionally, visit the revered Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, considered Sri Lanka's most prized possession. You may also consider exploring the (optional) Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, a 147-acre haven with over 5,000 plant species. The gardens feature popular attractions like the Spice Garden and Orchid House. Immerse yourself in Kandy's beauty and cultural richness before an overnight stay at the hotel
Day 3: Kandy – Colombo
Following breakfast, journey to Colombo, where a drive through the city awaits, guiding you through bustling commercial districts and tree-lined residential areas like Cinnamon Gardens. Explore Fort, the once British administrative and military hub, and venture into Sea Street, the vibrant Goldsmiths quarters within Pettah. Discover the Bazaar area, which houses a Hindu Temple adorned with intricate stone carvings, and visit the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. Your exploration also includes stops at the BMICH, a glimpse of the Avukana Buddha replica, and a visit to Independence Square. Conclude your day with an overnight stay at the hotel in Colombo.
Day 4: Colombo – Shopping & City Tour
This morning, indulge in a shopping spree in Colombo. Explore destinations like ODEL, House of Fashion, Arcade Independence Square, Race Course, and Beverly Street. Don't miss the bargain market in Colombo Pettah for unique finds. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Spend a relaxing overnight at the hotel in Colombo.
Day 5: Depart Colombo – Airport
Following breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a leisurely morning as the day is free until your departure transfer to the airport for your onward journey
